With Chinese New Year just around the corner, Onitsuka Tiger has joined in on the upcoming festivities with a fresh take on their thriving Mexico 66 model. Dubbed the next ‘It’ shoe by a number of publications, the iconic model is finally seeing the recognition it deserves with a rise in popularity on social media platforms.
Coming in family sizing, the signature model features a ‘cream’ and ‘birch’-coloured recycled leather upper with faux-fur lining outlining the brand’s logo on the medial and lateral parts of the shoe – a nod to this year’s zodiac animal; the rabbit. Gold branding can be seen on the tongue and heel tab as well as red insoles with mismatched ’20’ and ’23’ detailing.
