Surreal Botany and Fine Tailoring.
For the upcoming Summer season, Dior took to Sussex to shoot their latest campaign with the help of photographer Rafael Pavarotti. The dreamy scenery is intended to resemble Christian Dior’s birthplace: Granville, France.
With a flower-ridden backdrop, the rural setting is also translated into the clothes through utilitarian details that have come together through the French label’s partnership with Mystery Ranch – a technical, outdoors brand. These aspects of the collection are contrasted with the fine tailoring that designer Kim Jones has become known for, with elegant takes on formalwear in season-appropriate hues of pink, blue and beige. The footwear doesn’t shy away from the spotlight either with its futuristic “Warped Cannage” Sandal that’s made up of recycled rubber, the same as with its boot offering.
