Fresh off a recent New Balance collaboration, London-based brand Mowalola announces a brand new partnership with Timberland on their iconic 6-inch boot. A well-known figure, Mowalola Ogunlesi graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2017 and has since worked on her eponymous label and had a hand in some of the industry’s most significant projects including YZY GAP, where she was named design director.
For this collaboration, she has taken the ever-so-popular 6-inch boot and put the most New York spin on it possible, with the Yankees logo embossed on the toe box and side panels of the boot. Apart from those details, the collaboration stays faithful to the classic silhouette resulting in an inoffensive yet necessary shoe.
These boots are set to release this Saturday, February 18th.
