The Danish Fashion and Accessories Fair.
As the world’s leading trade show for fashion, beauty, contemporary furniture, and interior design, CIFF is celebrating its 30th year. Exhibitors and visitors from all over the globe have visited CIFF since its debut in 1956, making it one of the most influential and significant events in the industry.
This season marks the 30th anniversary of CIFF, which is a significant milestone for the trade show. With the appointment of a new director, Sofie Dolva, and the acquisition of Revolver Fair which runs parallel to CIFF, the Danish fashion and accessories is looking to make a big impact on the Scandinavian scene. Setting the foundation for a new phase of CIFF, Sofie explains that “with the acquisition of Revolver we can now use more of our resources on supporting our brands, improving our hospitality program and growing the momentum we have right now in Scandinavia.”
The final edition of CIFF before its merger with Revolver was an exciting time for the Danish fair, featuring a retrospective exhibition of some of the most iconic and influential pieces of furniture and interior design from the past 60 years, as well as lectures and workshops by some of the industry’s best-known experts.
Fashion, furniture, and interior design trends are on display up close and personal at CIFF, making it a fascinating experience. From cutting-edge technology to eco-friendly products, visitors can expect to see everything at the tradeshow. A hallmark of the Copenhagen Fashion Week schedule, the CIFF trade show features a wide range of exhibitors, including established brands and emerging designers, all showcasing their most recent products and collections like the guys from Studio Hagel, the design studio which was founded in 2015 by Mathieu Hagelaars.
Attending the trade show for the first time, Studio Hagel has cemented itself as one of the leading experimental footwear design studios in the world. Designing and developing collections that are rooted in a creative concept that can be applied to anything, Studio Hagel has worked on runway footwear for luxury brands such as Off-White™, Suicoke and Botter. An important aspect of CIFF is the networking opportunities it provides, brands like Studio Hagel are using these to its full potential. The trade show is a great place for industry professionals to meet, connect and collaborate. Visitors can expect to meet and interact with other designers, manufacturers, architects, and other industry leaders from all over the world.
A leading event in the fashion, beauty, furniture and interior design industry, celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, it’s hard not to think about what the future for CIFF will look like and to this Sofie explains “the ambition is to become one of the most attractive destinations for buyers around, and to stay agile and alert so we can adapt our platform to what is relevant and required from the industry.”
