Dubbed the "O-Bold".
Initially released in 2011 to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Issey Miyake WATCH, the “O” series – referring to “eau”, the French word for water – makes a return in 2023 through a redesign from artist Tokujin Yoshioka, known for his work with light and nature. The concept of the watch is based on “transparent time” and the “shape of water”, which explains the transparent bangle that the watch face sits in – time in a formless body of water.
The reimagined “O-Bold” widens the width of the bangle to emphasise the transparent nature of the timepiece yet only weighs in at 39 grams, with some saying it’s so comfortable that it tends to go unnoticed when worn. Other features include water resistance to up to 100 feet and a 3-year battery life and will be available in “Smoked” and “Clear”.
