Optical Illusions on Clothing.
As a tradition for Supreme nowadays, a The North Face collaboration returns for yet another season with a wide range of fan-favourite outerwear and athleisure options. The theme for this capsule is trompe l’oeil, an optical illusion technique used by artists to create three-dimensional objects in two-dimensional spaces, giving viewers the impression that the object is real and tangible. This technique is used as a print on many pieces from the capsule, giving the effect of scrunched-up clear plastic.
The collection includes collaborative staples in the Nuptse Jacket, Taped Seam Shell Jacket, Mountain Pant, Montana Mitt and Borealis Backpack. All feature the trompe l’oeil print as well as coming in black, yellow, red and purple colourway. Other pieces in the capsule include a hoodie and sweatpant with zippered, removable parts, a fleece set and printed pocket t-shirts.
The collection will be available this Thursday, March 9th.
