Heritage workwear brand Carhartt WIP have stepped forward with their newest creative endeavour for Spring/Summer 2023, unveiling their new “Marina” campaign.
Having been busy with an array of high-profile collaborations of late, including efforts with the likes of Marni, sacai, Awake NY and more, Carhartt WIP have returned with their singular campaign for the SS23′ season by debuting a selection of new standout pieces alongside brand classics, all the while taking to the North Yorkshire countryside to capture the looks. Channeling an array of trendy reference points, Carhartt WIP stray slightly from their typical “workwear only” design ethos, bringing in more technical material like those seen in the rise of ‘Gorpcore’, as well as the increasingly popular ‘preppy’ aesthetic, which has been a space predominantly occupied by the likes of Aimé Leon Dore and KITH. Leading the line for Carhartt WIP for this season is their standout Alto Jacket which brings signature doses of classic outdoor wear with water-repellent fabric, a lightweight composition, and striking reflective detailing. Bringing in a more left-of-centre design palette, the Marina Shirt and Coast State Sweater are adorned oversized Carhartt WIP graphics and logos whilst mimicking the design style of the American flag with their State Flag emblem. Alternatively, the collection is filled out with a wide array of other essentials and wardrobe must-haves like the poplin-style Coastal Jacket, button-down shirts, t-shirts, hoodies, trousers and more making their customary appearances.
The Carhartt WIP SS23′ collection is available to shop now via the brand’s website.
