In a rare public Instagram appearance, Hollywood’s darling Timothée Chalamet shared an unexpected announcement as himself and iconic French fashion house Chanel look set to join forces on a new collaboration.
Having worked with an array of high-profile fashion houses and designers in the past such as Virgil Abloh’s Off-White and Haider Ackermann, New York born Timothée Chalamet looks set to delve further into the world of fashion as the Oscar-nominated A-list actor shared a cryptic post via his Instagram suggesting a collaboration with Chanel was on the way. Uploading a still image of Chanel’s iconic “CC” logo, Timothée’s caption read “CC X TC OTW”, with this potentially being the beginning of a new menswear line for the predominantly womenswear outfit. Having kept things limited in terms of male collaborators in the past, with Pharrell Williams having been the only collaborator of note, this latest venture from the French fashion house looks to potentially present a more all-encompassing, unisex outlook as gendered garments continue to become more and more irrelevant.
