Are Androids Good for Gaming?

By June 13, 2023Guest Post

If you want to play games on your mobile device but just have no idea where to start, then you have come to the right place. This guide will tell you if you are doing the right thing by opting for Android over iPhone, as well as showing you what you should expect from your gaming library.

Game Library

They do look very similar on the outside, but one thing to take note of is that Apple and Android devices are worlds apart. Each of them has their very own operating system and this ultimately means that they have their way of doing things. Both of them have their own store that you can buy from, and this gives you the chance to download any mobile games you want. Apple’s own App Store and the Google Play Store are always expanding their options so you can take advantage of brand-new titles with ease.

App Store VS Play Store

The Google Play store offers 2.33 million different apps. Over 442,000 of them happen to be games. Of course, the App Store has 3.59 million apps and when you break it down, 984,000 of them are games.

For this reason, if you want to make the most out of your next gaming experience, you should try and opt for the Apple device as you will be able to access way more titles overall. These are huge numbers and browsing through millions of titles would be an impossible task. That being said, you do need to make sure that you assess your options and that you choose games that are important to you, so you can make the most out of your gaming experience.

Casino Games

Both Apple and Android do have a very similar amount of casino games to offer. If you want to enjoy the best Android casino apps then this is easy to do. Simply go onto the Play Store and download what you want. The same concept applies to the Apple store.

Subscription Services

Sure, there are a ton of games available, but did you know that each service has its own subscriptions too? You can browse hundreds of games and you can play at your own leisure, for a simple monthly fee. When you look at subscription services, Android has the Play Pass and Apple has the Apple Arcade.  There are a few comparisons that can be made here, so make sure that you take the time to assess each one.

The Differences

When you look at the subscription services, one thing to take note of is that Google Play is the winner in every way. They do not have their own exclusive titles, but they do have apps which is a very handy addition. If you want to know what Apple Arcade is or even what the Google Play Pass is, then make sure that you explore each option online.

Affordability

Every mobile device is expensive. One thing to take note of is that technology is always advancing and that the price of each device has to increase so that this can be matched. When you look at mobile gaming in particular, you will see that it can be taxing, especially for tiny devices. Finding an option that is affordable or that still has various capabilities can be tough.

Apple Tax

Apple is very expensive. Apple as a brand is trusted across the globe and they also happen to have millions of customers who are completely devoted to their brand. Apple is very much aware of how much people are going to consume their product and they know they will do this regardless of the price. You will never see an Apple product on sale either. The main reason for this is that stores normally have to buy them at a wholesale price.

You add the store profit on top and that there is the value of the product. Apple products are sold to retail outlets at the full price too and this means that there is no wiggle room for shops to lower the price. They have to sell at full price because if they don’t then they may experience a loss, and this is dangerous for them to say the least. If you don’t want to break the bank when paying for your device then one thing you can do is try and opt for Android instead, as they do not have as many steep prices to pay so everything will usually work out very nicely for you and your budget.
