Having only just made their long-awaited comeback from controversy, Spanish fashion house Balenciaga have followed up their recent “Capital B” Spring 2024 collection with their “Offshore” capsule collection.
Making their slow return to the spotlight after their recent campaign controversy, which saw several nods to explicit child documents throughout their campaign sets, Balenciaga have made sure to get back to basics as they move towards a more simplistic approach to fashion and away from their previous ‘shock factor’ style. For this “Offshore” capsule, the divisive fashion house have debuted a selection simply branded basics, which include a range of t-shirts, hoodies, and sweatpants, all of which boast a striking faded red and yellow Balenciaga letter graphic. Staying true to their affection for oversized silhouettes, some of the range, including the oversized hoodies and t-shirts, keep a flowing shape alongside the standout graphic, which debuts along the arms and middle of the pieces. Additionally, the standout pair of black washed sweatpants, which also arrive in baby pink, feature an oversized straight fit as well as a large Balenciaga graphic along the side of the leg.
