Unisex Amsterdam-based brand Daily Paper have firmly underlined their rich roots in Africa with this latest release, debuting their standout Cimbia Shield Bag for the summer season.
Channeling their nomadic spirit, Daily Paper have made their mark on this SS23′ season with this latest piece as they physically translate the brand’s emblem and take a modern approach to the Masaai shield, which is an emblem most commonly associated with Kenya and its national flag. Echoing Daily Paper’s central sentiments and all-round identity, the Cimbia Shield Bag represents community, heritage, and the protection of “everything you love by all means necessary.” Getting into the piece itself, this black leather bag boasts a crossbody shape, with the embossed shield shape also utilising a simplistic silver zip detailing. Lastly, the inside boasts a rich cotton lining as well as an extra cardholder pocket, optimising convenience for those on-the-go fashion statements.
