Onitsuka Tiger Unveils Mexico 66 “Cactful” Collection

Cacti-leather has been ever-growing within the sneaker trade for a while now, acting as an environmentally friendly and cruelty-free alternative to leather. Seizing the opportunity, Onitsuka Tiger have now jumped on the trend and have released their own collection of pastel coloured sneakers derived from cacti plants.

Made from a material named DESSERTO, which is 66% cactus materials, the latest drop from Onitsuka Tiger utilises a cactus materials that release 84% less CO2 emissions during manufacturing when compared to leather. The collection consists of five pastel summer colours, blue, lilac, white, yellow and green.

The latest pairs from Onitsuka Tiger are available online now, being priced at $116 USD.
