PAUSE Picks: Top Sneaker Releases of the Week

Wales Bonner x adidas Samba

A shoe that needs no introduction. Arriving for another dose of Wales Bonner x adidas Originals, this latest iteration of the Samba proves to be the duo’s most audacious yet, debuting in a vibrant ‘Silver’ colourway. Following on from the pair’s previously successful releases, this newest drop sees Sambas take the floor as this pair boast a reflective silver all over the shoe, with a flapped tongue, laced adidas Three Stripes and heel stitching, as well as “Wales Bonner” text on the heel rounding out the pair. Take centre stage this summer.

Nike x MMW 005 Slide

Casual meets high-fashion with this latest injection of Nike x MMW as the 005 Slide arrives in a standout ‘Volt’ colourway. Proving to be the pick of the punch from this latest drop, which also saw two more colourways release, this low-lying pair are the perfect poolside statement as a black foam-based outsole unit acts as a high-quality base, with perforations on the upper, footbed, and outsole adding ventilation whilst also keeping you reliably dry. Of course, co-branded Nike x MMW branding subtly takes its place on the frontal area.

ASICS GEL-Kayano 14

Continuing their hot streak in our weekly round-up, ASICS are coming through with the chic sporty vibes once again as they unveil their ‘Cream/Black’ GEL-Kayano 14. Arguably being ASICS’ most successful model to date, the GEL-Kayano 14 merges the sport chic wave with a firm streetwear vibe as this neutral version of the mesh sneaker feature a striking white and silver colour scheme, which spreads around the typical black ASICS midfoot emblem, whilst a slightly bronzed shade adorns the rear heel area. Lastly, an EVA foam props up the grey GEL cushioning technology and a TRUSSTIC torsional support system keeps the comfort-centric theme going.

adidas Campus 00s

Keeping things colourful, adidas are back again with their chunky Campus 00s silhouette, with this latest design falling into love for playful designs. This ‘Pulse Magenta’ colourway takes 00s to the next level as the skate-ready shoe features a rich pink suede across the upper, with thickened adidas Three Stripes and silver “Campus” lettering, and an elevated white midsole. Baggy jeans, baggy t-shirt, adidas Campus 00s. How can you go wrong?

Nike Zoom Vomero 5

Adding a literal ray of sunshine into the final slot, Nike make their second claim on this week’s list as they debut a summer-ready iteration of the Zoom Vomero 5. The growingly popular silhouette features a predominantly mesh composition for the most part, with this pair adding a more intricate touch with cuts of TPU and roughened suede filing out the layered design. A vibrant yellow spreads itself across almost every inch of this pair, with hits of silver breaking up the colour scheme as Nike’s signature Swoosh stakes claim on the midfoot.
