The S.S.Daley Man is Home for Summer.
S.S.Daley continues to explore British uniformity and sexual expression for Spring/Summer 2024 as the London-based label highlights the life of an artist as its main muse for its latest menswear collection, ‘Merry Ment’. Linking to designer Steven Stokey-Daley’s investigation into public school uniforms, there are further references to discovering his own sexuality alongside seamlessly woven European influences that have been inspired by his recent travels.
Breaking its focus down into several different art forms and the attire that’s associated with each, the collection took shape after the curation of images that illustrated iconic British artists such as Lucien Freud and David Hockney in their natural working environments, uniform included.
An emphasis is placed on tailoring and its refinement while knitwear is a constant and the classics are carried over in a cross-study of the duality of ceremony and practice.
