Channeling the Jamaican vibes once again, adidas Originals and Wales Bonner have reunited for a Spring/Summer 2023 collection.
Having previously released a collaborative Jamaican football kit, adidas Originals x Wales Bonner continues in the same vein for SS23′ as the successful duo reunite for a new capsule collection, debuting the pair’s long-awaited adidas Samba range. The collection was first shown during Wales Bonner’s SS23′ ‘Land of Wood and Water’ runway show back in June 2022, with the range moulding itself around the unique Jamaican colour palette and Caribbean stylings, with each piece being ready-to-wear this upcoming summer. The pieces themselves include classic Bonner garments, such as nylon tracksuits and high-rise shorts, with alternate garments including Harrington jackets, sweater vests, roll neck jumpers, crewnecks, socks, and of course, the selection of new adidas Sambas.
After a considerable wait time, the adidas Originals x Wales Bonner footwear is upon us as several iterations of the Samba and SL72 Knit silhouettes make their debut. The Samba arrives two variations, with the first boasting a white, pale yellow and brown colour palette and utilises a nubuck and leather composition as well as an elongated tongue, whilst the second iteration sees a bright silver leather upper take the floor with crocheted adidas stripes. The SL72 Knit silhouette keeps it simple colour wise as the trio of releases arrive with a knitted upper and in summer-ready shades of orange, green, or brown.
The latest adidas Originals x Wales Bonner SS23′ collection will be available on June 9th via the adidas website.
