Get Yourself Down.
After its premiere at Cairo’s brand-new Egyptian Museum during the house’s Pre-Fall 2023 collection show, Dior’s much-talked-about collaboration with Tremaine Emory’s, Denim Tears is set to be released over the next month through a series of pop-ups around the globe. Dubbed as ‘an immersive, multisensory experience’, the pop-ups will feature giant inflatable installations, musical sessions, and video projections designed by the studio of Japanese floral artist, Azuma Makoto.
Inspired by revolutionary black artists and creatives with a focus on denim, the aptly titled Dior Tears sits between the elegant and the singular, the classic and the casual.
Starting proceedings in London (Europe’s only pop-up) from 8th-13th July at Soho’s Phonica Records, the Dior Tears pop-up will then take things international as it arrives in Tokyo, followed by Seoul, and finally Shanghai.
