Autumn-Ready.
The long-awaited collaboration between Chitose Abe’s sacai and heritage workwear brand Carhartt WIP is finally upon us as a solid release date is finally put forward.
Firstly shown off at Paris Fashion Week back in January, the sacai x Carhartt WIP collection follows on from the latter’s other recent delves into high-fashion with the likes of Marni, taking things a step further with sacai as both brands put in some of their best efforts to date. Seamlessly bridging the gap between high-fashion and workwear, this latest collaboration does a better job than most of combining two different brand styles together whilst additionally maintaining quality, with this tasteful selection of garments including elevated work jackets, knitwear, pleated skirts, and cropped bomber jackets. The relatively muted black, light blue, and beige colour palette spread across the range combines both the affections of sacai and Carhartt WIP, with some central standouts including a light blue wool-braided cardigan adorned with co-branded sacai x Carhartt WIP accents, a long multi-layered hooded overcoat, as well as a cropped black bomber jacket boasting corduroy accents across the collar and hem.
The sacai x Carhartt WIP AW23′ collection is set to release on September 8th online.
