PAUSE Picks: Top Sneaker Releases of the Week

Timberland 50th Edition 6-Inch Boot

Being primed and ready to take over the AW23′ season, Timberland’s classic 6-Inch Boot has received a plethora of new vibrant colourways, celebrating five decades of the silhouette. Coming in with an autumn-ready ‘Green’ colourway, this blast of colour adorns the classic boot across the entirety of the upper – including the padded collar – with a rich nubuck leather keeping its place. Additional standout features include the imitable rubber lug outsole and Timberland heel logo stamp as well as an anti-fatigue comfort footbed, 400 grams of PrimaLoft® 90% recycled insulation, and a classic lace-up style. The Timberland wave is well and truly upon us.

Salomon ACS Pro JAH JAH

Putting forward an eye-catching colourway, Salomon x JAH JAH take on the ACS Pro silhouette with an almost iridescent colour palette, with the fan-favourite sneaker utilising a darkened brown across the entirety of the upper – including the caged mesh – in addition to a Jamaican hit of colours across the “Jah Jah” branded tongue straps and heel tabs. The Parisian Afro-vegan restaurant clearly have taste.

New Balance 9060

Channeling some distinct Princess Diana vibes, this latest entry from New Balance strikes the perfect autumn and winter balance as neutral shades of white, navy and cream level-out this sneaker, making them ready for just about anything. Being able to pair with whatever piece of clothing you choose, these 9060’s feature a more robust shape in comparison to other NB silhouettes, adding that extra steel for the colder (and wetter) months ahead. Some more technical features include sway bars taken from the hit 990 shape being “expanded and utilised throughout the entire upper for a sense of visible motion”, with striking wavy lines and exaggerated ABZORB cushioning platforms keeping comfort at the top of the agenda.

UGG Tazz Braid Slippers

Taking a more budget-friendly approach to LOEWE’s Shearling Platform Boots, UGG have stepped out with their Tazz Braid Slippers and seemingly shown their cards for the AW23′ season. The rise of slip-on footwear is no secret and UGG deserve to be at the forefront of the movement, with this pair in particular proving to be one of their more outgoing efforts as a ‘Hardwood’ coloured sherpa material adorns the entirety of the upper alongside a bright pink stitched patterning on the ankle and a rear heel pull tab. Luxury styles for less.

New Balance FuelCell Propel v4

Opting for a more sporty-approach to footwear are New Balance as they debut an all-new version of their FuelCell Propel v4, keeping sneaker heads comfortable well into the future. The running shoe can be used in an array of different ways and bridges the gap between sports-only silhouettes and everyday beaters, with this unisex silhouette boasting a subtle ‘Sae Salt/True Red’ colour palette, a synthetic mesh composition, as well as a thick FuelCell midsole combined with a TPU plate. For those long days in the city.
