One for the Ages.
Finally announcing their new mammoth collaboration, workwear heritage brand Carhartt WIP and New Balance have officially joined forces for the 990v6 silhouette.
This pair follow on from the previous drop between the pairing and inserts a heavy dose of Carhartt WIP ethos into the design palette, with the brand’s rough-and-ready approach to outdoor wear translating across here. The chunky silhouette looks set to be the shape firmly pushed by New Balance over this next few months as various iterations of the pair come to light, with this particular version seeing autumn-ready shades of house Carhartt WIP colours rearing their pretty heads. For instance, three shades of brown adorn the suede overlays – being a signature Carhartt WIP colour scheme – whilst New Balance’s signature grey comes to play on the underlying mesh, “N” midfoot branding, as well as on the heel and co-branded tongue. Lastly, cream laces and a similarly-shaded tonal midsole unit forms pair that is bound to be somewhere at the top of every sneaker heads’ end of year list.
The Carhartt WIP x New Balance 990v6 is set for release on October 20th via both the New Balance and Carhartt WIP websites.
