Paying Homage to Yves.
Yves Saint Laurent has opened its largest global flagship store on avenue des Champs-Elysees in Paris.
The storefront was launched as a means of paying homage to one of Saint Laurent’s wishes. “I wanted to realize one of Yves Saint Laurent’s wishes when he arrived in Paris and said he wanted his name to be written in fiery letters on the Champs-Élysées,” said YSL Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello. The building’s interior consists of 4 floors, designed to infuse the original heritage elements of the building as they coincide with YSL’s legacy design principles. One floor is dedicated to VIP clients as it’s adorned with a circular mirror and a suite-like setup, while the rest of the shop consists of various ready-to-wear offerings that can be accessed through a dark wooden staircase.
