Bottega Veneta have launched their first effort of 2024 as the luxury Italian fashion house debut their 2024 Lunar New Year campaign.
Appropriately titled ‘The First Sunrise With You’, Bottega Veneta’s latest effort channels true romance in every sense of the word, looking to strolls on the beach, sunrise watching, and scootering along mountain roads to capture the innate spontaneity that arrives with travelling and togetherness. Starring actress Shu Qi and directed by Jess Jing Zou, ‘The First Sunrise with You’ champions the first sunrise of the year and follows the path of Matthieu Blazy’s creative vision, with scenes seeing She Qi stepping out onto a balcony to admire the sunrise over Shanghai’s skyline as well as various other groups – including friends, family members, and romantic partners – joining together to take notice of the first dawn as well as looking to the year ahead.
Steering away from narrative, Bottega Veneta make sure to include various pieces from their exclusive Chinese New Year capsule collection, with everything from sneakers and bags to denim and outerwear being included in the striking shots. Being based on the Year of the Dragon, the latest drop from the heritage fashion house include themed takes on the Andiamo, Sardine, Orbit sneakers, whilst a bespoke Jodie adorned with a dragon-tail handle proves to be the pick of the bunch from the eclectic mix of leather goods.
