British designer Grace Wales Bonner is set to return to Paris Fashion Week next week, with the anticipated return being preempted with this striking new Spring/Summer 2024 “Marathon” collection and campaign.
Elevating the very idea of athletic wear, this newest effort from Wales Bonner takes to the streets of Paris alongside photographer Malick Bodian, capturing the brand in one of its most self-assured moments yet. Walking confidently into their stride, Wales Bonner employ Ethiopian runners Tamirat Tola and Yomif Kejelcha for this campaign, displaying a host of chic, almost Western style pieces, including flared indigo denim jeans designed with Ethiopian Tibeb embellishments and matching denim blazers, leather cowboy jackets, reflective silver shorts, and double-breasted brushed cotton suits.
