Wales Bonner and Adidas aren’t done just yet. The designer’s most secretive sneaker has been leaked onto Instagram, depicting an unnamed silhouette with a two-tone design referencing her latest Samba and a previously teased colourway.
Wales Bonner and Adidas’ unnamed sneaker debuted in the Wales Bonner S/S24 collection, styled beneath a knee-length rain coat and patterned romper. The half snakeskin, half chrome Adidas runner looks to be a combination of a few silhouettes, with the SL ‘72 and Country being its most likely inspiration. Followers of the Samba wave would have seen this colour combination applied by Wales Bonner early in the year. In late 2023, a full snakeskin Samba was leaked featuring similar patterns to this unnamed silhouette, and the fully chromed-out Samba has been in the closet of Samba fanatics for months now.
