PAUSE Picks: Top Sneaker Releases of the Week

Nike Air Max Dn

Pushing their new Air Max Dn silhouette to the max, Nike have stepped forward with a heavy dose of the release as five new colourways release, with this “All Night” iteration proving to be the frontrunner. The instant UK classic is bound to get some wear across the country this summer, with an ‘Anthracite/Light Crimson’ colour scheme being deployed through a monochromatic dose of black and grey across the textured upper and midsole unit as well as a on the all-new Dynamic Air sole unit, which is painted in the striking ‘Light Crimson’ colour. Road ready.

Nike ACG Torre Mid Team

Going two for two this week, there’s no slowing Nike down as they debut this outdoor-ready ACG Torre Mid Team ‘Red Pinksicle’. Coming through with a colourway Lil Yachty would fawn over, a roughened burgundy suede layers domineeringly over the smoother underlying teal blue canvas, with a mid-top shape, rear heel pull tab, and an elasticated lace unit inserting that hiking core. Lastly, a pink stitched Nike Swoosh and black ACG logo provide a note of recognisability to this unique entry.

JJJJound x adidas Samba

At long last, the JJJJound x adidas Samba is officially a tangible release as the duo drop simplified white and black iterations of the streetwear classic. A rich all black leather take stands out the most here, with a smooth composition being tied with adidas’ signature suede toe mudguard, whilst a gum sole sits pretty with a mustard yellow sock lining. Furthermore, ridged Three Stripes layer over the midfoot position, whilst trefoil “JJJJOUND” text and white heel and tongue accenting rounds out a long-awaited release.

New Balance 990v4 Made in USA

Teddy Santis’ imitable design style shines through once again as this “Arctic Grey” New Balance 990v4 Made in USA comes through swinging. The powdery pair utilise a buttery suede and faded blue mesh for the upper composition whilst black accenting adds a stark element to the signature New Balance insignia and midsole unit. An everyday winner.

COMME des GARÇONS HOMME x New Balance 610

New Balance take the reigns yet again as they close out this week’s list with the COMME des GARÇONS HOMME 610, which takes slip-on footwear to new – and luxurious – heights. Reimagining the structure of the 610 completely, a laceless all black pair hit us for six as neoprene and mesh work effortlessly across the soft upper, with suede overlays and heritage COMME des GARÇONS HOMME and New Balance insignia giving this sneaker a name – and a flex worthy one at that.
