Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s MVP-caliber season just got more impressive. NBA insider and everyone’s favourite basketball news leaker Shams Charania reported that Shai would take over the reins of Converse Basketball as Creative Director in 2025, with a signature shoe set to follow swiftly after. As it stands, Shai is the face of the basketball department alongside Golden State Warriors forwards Draymond Green and Kelly Oubre Jr.
Throughout his MVP campaign, Shai has worn a plethora of Converse’s latest performance-driven silhouettes. The BB Trilliant silhouette has been on-foot during some of his prolific games, donning iterations featuring lowered cuts along the ankle, shrouds over the lacing system, and a range of colourways from all-over bronze to what could only be described as an explosion of easter-themed pastels.
