Skating Through the Lane.
Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star Guard Anthony Edwards is extending his three-point range off the court, adding his name to a pair of chunky Adidas Rivalry’s with a retro twist.
Although they have an inherent appeal to skaters due to their chunky soles, moderate protection, and fat laces, the Adidas Rivalry made its debut on NBA legend Patrick Ewing back in the 90s. The performance turned to fashionable shoes that have been reimagined with a vanta black suede upper, accented with hot pink hues reminiscent of Miami Vice colorways. Pink and black thick zebra striped laces are threaded through the upper that sits above a white sole. Edwards’ signature is etched onto the heel tab, contradicting the hot pink colour scheme with salmon undertones. The notes of hot pink seem to be a nod to the Timberwolves Earned Edition jerseys, a colourway that we’ve seen Edwards rock on his way to multiple 50-point games.
The Anthony Edwards Adidas Rivalry is currently available across Foot Locker in North America, as well as online globally for $100.
