An exciting new collaboration between Balenciaga Music and French composer and musician BFRND focuses on the significance of music to Balenciaga’s creative and cultural impact.
Since 2017, BFRND has created original soundtracks for every Balenciaga presentation, incorporating dark electronic and classical sounds into his signature sound.
There are several components of the Balenciaga Music | BFRND Series which consists of limited-edition merch, a 4-hour original playlist created by BFRND that includes many of his artistic inspirations, and an original 8-bit video game—offering a 360° experience.
The series is announced with a dedicated campaign shot by photographer Melchior Tersen, which is based on the concept of typical vintage portraits, each featuring the artist himself as a goth family member.
