Matthew M. Williams x Nike? We’ve seen this before, but not quite like this. Hitting Instagram to show us more, the former Givenchy creative director looks set to release another sleek Nike footwear collaboration.
After the plethora of previous releases between Matthew M. Williams, Nike, and his 1017 ALYX 9SM brand, including joint takes on the Air Force 1 and Zoom silhouettes, it looks as though another modern collaboration is on the way as Williams continues his hot streak with a performance-oriented sneaker. Looking to the more popular than ever running world, the American designer shows off two black and grey iterations of the “NIKE MMW TRD RUN 6,” being not dissimilar to some of Nike’s previous sportswear entries, such as the Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT%. Coming in an ultra-breathable and lightweight knit upper, the arched pairs provide some height as a considerable sculpted sole unit adorned with a signature Air pocket hits the forefoot, whilst also arriving with typical Nike x MMW branding. Lastly, lateral heel Nike Swooshes add an extra dose of detail as a large foam-like midsole unit, a run-ready tread outsole, and flat-lying laces complete the pairs.
No drop date has been set for the Nike x Matthew M. Williams TRD RUN 6 release as of yet, but stayed tuned to PAUSE for more information as it arrives.
