Is Patent Leather the Wave?
Supreme’s various collaborative efforts with Clarks Originals have yet to see a pair of this composition come to light, with a patent leather styling rumoured to be dropping this coming week.
In leaked campaign imagery from the streetwear titans, Supreme look set to continue their ongoing efforts with Clarks Originals, having come together for various takes on the Wallabee, Desert Chukka, Weaver, and various other heritage shapes. Following in the footsteps of Veneda Carter’s domineering patent leather Timberland collaboration, this latest effort between Supreme and Clarks Originals has already proven to be divisive among fashion fans as the latter’s signature Wallabee silhouette has been reimagined with a completely patent leather upper composition. Staying true to some heritage codes, the pairs are dressed in shades of beige, black, and red/green, being signature colours of both Supreme and Clarks Originals.
No release date or official confirmation has arrived for these pairs as of yet, but expect more information this week. Stay tuned to PAUSE for more.
