Imran Potato’s Latest Footwear Range Feels Familiar

Pushin' Prada...

Imran Potato’s eye for what gets people talking is uncontested, with this latest footwear range being one of his most divisive yet.

The New York born creative has quickly become somebody to reckon with when it comes to the footwear world, with various divisive entries having made headlines across the industry. From popularising Vans’ chunky Knu Skool silhouette with branded makeovers to the introduction of the viral “foot” sneaker, Potato’s creative outlook knows no bounds, with this newest selection of footwear pushing the boundary to its very furthest point. Being undoubtedly inspired by Italian luxury fashion house Prada and their iconic America’s Cup sneaker, this newest entry sees Potato take direct inspiration from the brand’s low-lying fashion staple as unmistakably familiar design features shine through, most prominently including Prada’s signature patent leather design. Boasting this aforementioned patent leather panelling, a mesh base, red stripe tongue branding, as well as the use a plethora of signature Prada America’s Cup colourways, it’s safe to say that this currently nameless creation is set to get the sneaker world talking. Whether that’s a good or a bad thing, we’ll have to wait and see.

Take a look at Imran Potato’s newest sneaker range here.
