Does Comme des Garçons HOMME PLUS x Nike ever miss? Currently, we’re thinking no, with fresh imagery arriving for an Olympics-ready pair of Comme des Garçons HOMME PLUS x Nike Air Foamposite Ones.
In-keeping with their signature monochromatic design style and minimalist language, Comme des Garçons HOMME PLUS make sure to hit the mark on every basic as they seem set to reunite with global sportswear giants Nike for a new iteration of the Air Foamposite One, putting forward an “Olympic” version. As you might expect, the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris have everything to do with this pair as the striking shape follows on from the duo’s 2021 efforts and meets in the middle for its colour scheme, debuting an all-new grey-styled colourway, as well as a composition that is inspired by the Summer Games.
The pair continues to delve into CDG’s minimal design language, with a swirling silver marble finish sitting atop the signature Air Foamposite One shell. The standout design style is matching with a similarly shaped flowing black rubber sole unit, whilst additional features include sleek “Comme des Garçons HOMME PLUS” heel text, all-black eyestays and eyelets, as well as a subtle nod to the Summer Games’ trophies on the heel tab, which is dressed in gold, silver and bronze stripes.
