Pharrell’s journey with Louis Vuitton has been far from smooth so far, but these latest campaign entries continue to impress as the multifaceted creative director debuts a new Fall 2024 Men’s capsule collection.
Merging his affection for fun-loving street style, expressive monogram patterning, and bold block colour designs, Pharrell strikes a solid balance between his natural flair for the exuberant and more stripped back male stylings here, with this ready-to-wear effort encapsulating the transitional restrictions of the Autumn season. Staying in touch with modernity, the adaptable range traverses a range of metaphorical plains, making sure to mould to whatever surroundings the modern man finds himself in, whether that’s a weekend away or in a metropolitan city.
Moving between something casual and something more suited, the range of new Fall 2024 Louis Vuitton looks are defined by comfort and confidence, with everything from green pinstriped overcoats, shiny monogram leather flight jackets, and sherpa zip-ups to gradient monogram travel bags, denim co-ords, and scarves filling out an eclectic capsule that covers some grey area in the brand’s soon-to-release Fall/Winter 2024 range. Additional collection highlights include a brown and cream gradient monogram track jacket, a soft cotton overshirt adorned with subtle blacked-out “LV” detailing, a previously mentioned green pinstriped overcoat, as well as sketch-effect red leather suit.
The collection is inspired by the Estate of the late South Korean painter Park Seo-Bo, who was known as a minimalist artist that championed profound simplicity. More specifically to this collection, Seo-Bo’s work features across a refined selection of pieces, including an off-white jersey hoodie and shorts co-ord and a matching knitted three-button shorts suit, all of which utilise the image of No.021015 made in 2002. A black velvet tracksuit also features, taking influence from No.960728, whilst a larger-than-life red wool coat, track jacket, and gilet are informed by No. 1-17 from 2017, with every piece tastefully arriving with Park Seo-Bo’s artist signature.
This Louis Vuitton Fall 2024 capsule will be available to shop in September 2024.
