Streetwear’s leading light Stüssy are back up and at it for the Summer 2024 season as the imitable design power hit the seaside with Nike for another stellar capsule collection.
As you might expect, the latest Stüssy x Nike effort revolves around the basics of streetwear and beachwear, with the duo honing on a selection of co-branded essentials for Summer 2024. Having teased a beach theme via a promotional video earlier this week, many believed that Shawn Stussy’s return to the spotlight may have something to do with this project, especially considering his early beginnings as a board shaper, but that is yet to be confirmed.
Sharing a curated selection of imagery, the new Stüssy x Nike garments revolve around comfort, breathability, and adaptability, with vibrantly-coloured swim shorts, fleece loungewear, short and long-sleeved mesh material t-shirts, tote bags, caps, eyewear and various hooded linen jackets having been spotted in the line-up. Most importantly, the lineage of Stüssy x Nike footwear continues as the LD-1000 silhouette makes its mark in two summer-ready colourways, with the predominantly mesh effort underlining another distinct lean towards something more comfort-centric. A black stitched Nike midfoot Swoosh contrasts against the base of the first entry, which arrives in an “Action Green,” with rear “Stüssy” heel text, a co-branded tongue, and a cushioned midsole unit rounding out the silhouette. The second iteration of the LD-1000 features a white mesh base and a beach-appropriate sky blue Nike Swoosh.
The latest Stüssy x Nike capsule collection will be available to shop on July 12th via the Stüssy website.
