Stone Island Plunges into FW24 With Ghost Collection

By September 19, 2024Fashion News

Spooky season commences.

Just last week, Stone Island teased imagery for their upcoming New Balance 991v2 with full Ghost armory to boast. And today, the label unveiled their Ghost offerings via architect and designer Philippe Starck.

Carrying the brands mission of “Community as a Form of Research,” the Fall/Winter offerings provide a heavy emphasis on outerwear with gorpcore touches. Colour schemes are kept within the realm of their collaboration with New Balance, and each badge is dyed to match the garment as they always do.

“Ghost pieces are based on the concept of camouflage and are totally monochromatic,” said the brand on Instagram.

The collection’s hero piece is worn by Starck, which leads the 14 page lookbook. His 710F2 Performance Twill Wool-TC hooded parka is a sight to behold, both from an aesthetics point of view and from technology. Composed of Merino worsted wool twill, the exterior is finished with wind-resistant resin coating which sits above feather padded, designed to withstand Stone Island’s rigorous dyeing process. Fastened to the hood is a slanted snap closure and two rope ties which sit near the pockets on the chest. More pocketing is stitched near the waist line for comfortability, as seen in Starck’s shot.

Stone Island’s FW24 Ghost range offers much more beyond the breadth of the jacket modeled by Starck. A classic, pure white wool overshirt joins their monochromatic black bomber jacket on the more tailored menswear side of things. While the rest of the range is manifested through military inspired baggy trousers and cargos, full zip track jackets and hoodies zip up sweaters.

The entire Stone Island Ghost range is set to drop on Saturday, September 21st. Check out the campaign imagery below.
