An Archival Shift.
Dolce & Gabbana and Ray-Ban come together to revisit one of eyewear’s most recognisable silhouettes at a key moment for the frame. As the Aviator approaches its 90th anniversary, the collaboration reframes it through a distinctly Italian point of view, balancing legacy with a sharper, more fashion-led sensibility.
Shot by Gray Sorrenti, the campaign leans into mood and nostalgia, grounding the release in a cinematic, sun-washed atmosphere. It feels less like a revival and more like a quiet shift in tone, where heritage is styled for now.
At the centre of the collection are two styles, the “Shooter” and the “Outdoorsman II”. The Shooter leans into vintage codes with a pronounced brow bar and tinted teardrop lenses, while the Outdoorsman II offers a more stripped-back take, refining the pilot shape with a lighter, more architectural feel.
Across both, colour moves from saturated to soft, spanning mirrored and transparent lenses. Dual branding remains subtle, keeping the focus on form rather than logos. The styles are available now via Ray-Ban, Dolce & Gabbana and selected retailers, take a look below and let us know your thoughts.
