A Love Letter to Summer.
From surfboards to sunset cocktails, Nicolas Ghesquière’s latest ready-to-wear drop charts a full summer’s day, and the wardrobe to match every moment of it.
Louis Vuitton’s Resort Collection 2026 is built around a simple but effective idea: one wardrobe, three acts. A day at the beach arrives first, with tie-dye polo shirts featuring macramé LV patches, neo-sixties Monogram swimsuits, terry bucket hats, and rose-tinted sunglasses. Two collector pieces steal the spotlight: The Ace Ball, a volleyball crafted from 18 leather and Monogram canvas panels, and the Bag-Alow, a leather bag shaped after California’s iconic stilt bungalows.
The collection then shifts into Riviera mode: denim elevated into peplum tops, vintage linen dresses trimmed with scalloped lace, and day pyjamas in pastel peach silk. Bags follow suit, with a rattan Capucines, the Alma BB in flashy Epi leather, and the Speedy LV Stamp with a vintage floral lining. At sunset, silk shirt dresses printed with floral arabesques take over, alongside the Minigram bag in light pink, banana yellow, and hazelnut. The finale? A little black evening dress with lingerie details, paired with the jewel-encrusted Capucines Sunbeam bag, because even in summer, Vuitton never loses its edge, and honestly we are living for it.
