A couture take on gym wear.
In a new facet of Balenciaga’s evolving modernity, creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli introduces a ‘TechWear’ line that coincided with his Fall/Winter 2026 collection titled ‘Body & Being’. Couture is something that Piccioli excels in, and he most certainly did not leave behind his expertise while creating this collection. As the campaign moves from the streets to indoors and vice versa, the models wear their ‘TechWear’ pieces in an unexpected way. Couturesque-style long gloves, leather outerwear, and even the Manolo Blahnik collaboration heels signal Balenciaga’s fashionable take on gymwear.
The collection includes mesh-membraned tracksuits and cutout bodysuits that support breathability. Welded with an ultrasonic nylon tape, the windbreaker sets feature aqua-zip closures that are water-repellent. Hooded cowls, fitted tops, cycling shorts, hot pants, leggings, and socks all feature fast-drying, moisture-wicking properties whilst having UV protection. The high-visibility motifs are light-reflective so they can be worn no matter the time of day.
In celebration of the launch, Balenciaga will have pop-ups in Paris, Beijing, Shanghai, and Bangkok with exclusive beverages and bars. The smoothies include ‘Main Character’ (with marine collagen cubes), ‘Momentum’ (cordyceps-enhanced peanut butter), and ‘Back to Life’ (an ashwagandha-infused mango matcha). Each smoothie can be optionally boosted with vitamin oil, pea protein or creatine. Freshly made juices are also available, including detoxifying ‘Green Flag’; antioxidant-rich ‘Red Alert’; vitamin C-centric ‘Glow with the Flow’; and hydrating ‘All Clear’. Powered by protein and adaptogens, Balenciaga’s post-workout bars feature all natural ingredients.
Demonstrating a further commitment to wellness, Balenciaga will partner with Barry’s fitness studio. Customised classes with Balenciaga music-inspired playlists, a special setup, and an exclusive smoothie at Barry’s Fuel Bar will be on offer. The experience will be available in participating studios across Los Angeles, New York City, London, Paris, Milan, Dubai, Singapore, and Sydney – inviting a global reach.
