Breaking: Julien Dossena Exits Rabanne

Who is next?

After weeks of speculation around the fashion house Rabanne and a possible change of guard, a departure has now been confirmed, with Julien Dossena exiting after 13 years as artistic director for womenswear. Under his leadership, the Puig-owned house experienced significant growth and renewed global visibility, with Dossena masterfully balancing the brand’s signature futuristic codes like chain-mail, metallic discs, and mesh with a fresher, contemporary spirit that attracted the newest generations.

As for what comes next, Rabanne has confirmed that a successor will be announced in due time, though no name has been made official. It is understood the house has already put out feelers to several potential candidates, including Olivier Rousteing, who departed Balmain last November after 14 years at its creative helm. Dossena’s final work for the house was a resort 2027 collection and eveningwear capsule presented earlier this month, closing out a defining chapter for the brand.
