Ferragamo revisits the 1920s through a modern lens
For Pre-Spring 2027, Maximilian Davis explores Ferragamo’s founding decade – the 1920s. Artistic themes such as surrealism and cubism are translated through colours and textures on garments like the georgette inset with transparent crêpe and dropped-waist chiffon dress.
“This season, I was also looking at the more casual part of the period. I’ve always referenced the more glamorous parts and Salvatore’s Hollywood clients, so this time I wanted to look at daywear too.” illustrates Davis. The sportswear, inspired by the 1920s too, is accentuated by overall black contrasts or the leather trims on the nylon windbreakers.
Ferragamo introduces a new bucket bag, an updated form of the Cara silhouette with deeper dimensions, and new colourways of the Soft bag in olive and tobacco. A reversible leather tote bag with a Gancini clip is suited for men.
