Riot Games Celebrates Record-Breaking VALORANT Finals in London

Riot Games brought the global esports spotlight to London this weekend as the VALORANT Masters London Champions Finals took over the Copper Box Arena. Drawing sell-out crowds and fans from across the world, the tournament further cemented the UK’s position as a growing hub for competitive gaming, with more than 22,000 attendees gathering across the finals weekend.

Beyond the action on stage, the event highlighted the growing crossover between gaming, music and pop culture. Guests including social media personality Big John, broadcaster and former Love Island contestant Chloe Burrows, rapper Che Lingo and singer-gamer Talia Mar were among those in attendance, while the weekend also coincided with the launch of Hackney’s first dedicated esports pub. The opening offered a glimpse into how competitive gaming culture is increasingly extending beyond arenas and livestreams into physical community spaces.

The finals also arrived shortly after the release of VALORANT Masters London’s cinematic campaign film, soundtracked by Che Lingo’s first new music in three years, “Chaos in the House”. Created in partnership with VALORANT, the track explores themes of competition, self-discovery and community, reflecting the emotional highs and lows that have come to define modern esports fandom.

With a prize pool of $1 million on the line, the tournament delivered the drama and atmosphere expected from one of esports’ biggest events.

South American team Leviatán were the winners of the tournament. They beat Paper Rex 3-2 after falling behind 1-2, Leviatán fought back to win a close fourth map and then comfortably took the deciding fifth map, securing a victory and the $350,000 first-place prize.

As competitive gaming continues to attract larger audiences and mainstream attention, the success of VALORANT Masters London highlights the growing influence of esports within the wider entertainment landscape.
