Coperni’s Latest Handbags Are Alive and Made from Live Cultures

Blending Fashion and Biotechnology.

Coperni continues to push the boundaries of fashion and technology with a new experimental handbag created in collaboration with bio-designer Arevik Hakobyan.

Rather than relying solely on traditional materials, the concept introduces living mycology cultures grown from plant tissue and housed within the walls of each handbag, transforming the accessory into an evolving piece of biotechnology.

The project sits at the intersection of fashion, science and material innovation, reflecting Coperni’s ongoing interest in challenging conventional ideas of luxury design. What are your thoughts? Would you carry a handbag that’s alive?
