Evolving, always.
Louis Vuitton is expanding its material innovation with the global launch of Silk Tech, a new fabric now featured across the House’s menswear, bags, luggage and accessories.
First introduced during Pharrell Williams’ Fall/Winter 2026 menswear show in Paris, Silk Tech blends silk with reclaimed nylon to create a lightweight textile that combines a luxurious handle with high-performance functionality. The material has been engineered for durability while retaining the soft sheen and tactile quality of silk, often resembling supple leather at first glance.
The development overall reflects Louis Vuitton’s continued focus on technical craftsmanship, drawing inspiration from the silk parachutes and hot air balloons of the early 20th century. Reimagined through contemporary manufacturing, the hybrid fabric balances strength with lightness, making it particularly suited to the House’s travel-focused heritage.
Silk Tech now appears across a growing selection of ready-to-wear pieces, alongside signature leather goods and travel silhouettes such as the Speedy, Keepall and Christopher. With the material moving beyond the runway and into permanent collections, Louis Vuitton is positioning technical innovation as a defining part of its evolving menswear identity.
