But while the action unfolded on the pitch, the stands were just as star-studded, with a host of A-listers in attendance. Among the night’s standout moments, tennis champion Carlos Alcaraz and Squid Game star HoYeon Jung were on hand to present the FIFA World Cup 2026 Trophy ahead of kick-off. The entertainment didn’t stop there either, with Burna Boy, Shakira and Justin Bieber taking to the stage before the match, adding to an evening that brought together football, music and entertainment on one of sport’s biggest stages.
