Devin Booker’s love of vintage cars is moving from the garage to the court, with Nike and Chevrolet joining forces for a new four-part Book 2 collection.
Following last year’s Book 1 collaboration, the latest release looks directly to Booker’s personal collection of classic Chevrolet Impalas. Each pair references a different model year, from 1958 through to 1963, with details inspired by the cars’ distinctive design language.
The first release, “Pretty Penny,” takes its colours from Booker’s 1959 Chevrolet Impala convertible, while the tongue details draw on the cars’ recognisable hood ornaments. The accompanying campaign also extends the automotive theme into the packaging and a graphic T-shirt referencing Chevrolet’s cultural history.
The Nike Book 2 “Pretty Penny” will debut in Detroit on the 15th of August, before receiving a global release on the 26th of August. Three additional colourways inspired by Booker’s Impalas are expected to follow in December. For now, check it out below.
