Olaolu Slawn and Rolex Unveil “Rolex Multiverse”

Changing the Collaborative Game?

British-Nigerian artist Olaolu Slawn has teamed up with Rolex for the “Rolex Multiverse,” a new custom watch project bringing together 12 figures from the worlds of music, sport, fashion, and contemporary art.

The series was first previewed through a webcam-style video and builds on Slawn’s earlier experiments with hand-painted Rolex watches. For the new project, each participant receives a one-of-one timepiece that transforms Slawn’s graffiti-led aesthetic through their own creative identity, resulting in a collection of 12 individually designed watches rather than a conventional collaborative release.

The lineup brings together a diverse group of cultural names, including rappers Gunna and Lil Yachty, footballers Mario Balotelli and Ronaldinho, Japanese designer Verdy, Corteiz founder Clint419, and visual artist Gabriel Moses.

Eleven collaborators have been publicly identified so far, leaving one final participant to be revealed. The “Rolex Multiverse” is set to roll out across August 2026, with each watch presented as a distinct meeting point between Slawn’s artwork and the perspective of its respective collaborator.
