The 2-time NBA ‘Most Valuable Player’ Shai Gilgeous‑Alexander is at the final chapter of his Converse era. The SHAI 001 LACE UP lands this summer in Cheetah, Lime and Berry.
Before he steps fully into his new Nike collaboration, Shai closes this one properly. “I’m proud of what we’ve built,” he says. “I want to see these pairs out in the world before embracing what’s next.”
For the first time, the SHAI 001 arrives in kids sizing, giving young players the same sculptural silhouette and design language as the adult version.
LACE UP swaps the original zip shroud for traditional lacing, keeping the futuristic shape intact.
Performance stays untouched for a modern basketball shoe with a moulded upper, Zoom Air in the forefoot, radial traction, and Shai’s logo stamped on the tongue as a nod to his number and his dual identity as an athlete and creative.
This is a clean send-off with Converse, and we are excited for what he does next with Nike.
