Kris Van Assche Is Back With a New Chapter

By September 2, 2026FASHION NEWS

If you know fashion, you know Kris Van Assche.

The Belgian designer spent 11 years at the helm of Dior Homme, following his early years working alongside Hedi Slimane, before taking over Berluti from 2018 to 2021. He also ran his own namesake label from 2005 to 2015, building a reputation around sharp tailoring, youth culture and the constant mixing of formal and casual codes. Now, more than a decade after closing his label, Van Assche is bringing it back and this time, he is doing things on his own terms.

The relaunch brings together menswear and womenswear in a tightly edited collection, mixing familiar KRISVANASSCHE signatures with new proportions and plenty of deadstock fabrics. Instead of following the traditional fashion calendar, Van Assche plans to release pieces when there is actually something new to say. After years spent moving between fashion, design and art, this feels like a fresh vision re-entering the industry.
