A new era for the 154-year old institution is coming.
Olympia has announced a year-long collaboration with The Design Museum, launching with a project celebrating Japanese fashion creator and creative director NIGO, best known as the founder of BAPE (A Bathing Ape).
The partnership debuts with a presentation of NIGO’s From Japan with Love project, currently entering its final days at The Design Museum. The free-to-view display offers visitors the chance to explore NIGO’s distinctive creative world daily, with access available every 15 minutes until 4 October.
The collaboration will continue across Olympia’s 12-month programme, connecting audiences with a series of exhibitions and cultural projects at The Design Museum. Among these is Es Devlin: Other Worlds, the first European retrospective dedicated to the British artist and designer’s 30-year creative practice, running from 2 October 2026 to 4 April 2027.
The exhibition explores Devlin’s genre-defying work across sculpture, stage design, music, language and light, bringing together major artworks, immersive installations, film and the largest presentation of her archive to date.
The collaboration forms part of Olympia’s wider transformation into a new cultural destination for London. Backed by a £1.3 billion regeneration programme, the iconic West London venue is being reimagined as a world-class destination spanning culture, creativity, hospitality and more.
