Built around basics.
Gucci is putting its everyday wardrobe in the spotlight with “GucciCore”, a new campaign shot across New York that explores the different ways people wear and style their ‘fits.
Photographed by Peter Funch, the project brings together groups of people across the city, capturing a mix of looks against the Big Apple’s busy streets. The images draw on Funch’s ongoing interest in how individuals exist within larger crowds, using the location’s mix of people and personal taste to reflect the thinking behind “GucciCore”.
First unveiled during a runway show in Times Square in May, “GucciCore” brings together the key pieces that form the foundation of the house’s wardrobe. The collection covers familiar staples, including peacoats, trench coats, tailored business suits, essential shirts and pencil skirts, with each piece offering a starting point for day-to-day dressing.
