A new home for London's listening culture.
London’s listening bar scene is getting a new addition, and this one’s heading to the Barbican. Spiritland, the music-focused venue known for its King’s Cross location, is opening a second London space on 20 October, taking over the Barbican Centre’s Lakeside Room.
Located on Level 2, overlooking the fountains, the new 100-capacity bar will feature a bespoke Living Voice sound system, with a music programme spanning jazz, soul, classical, ambient and electronica. There’ll be daily listening sessions, talks, tastings and supper clubs, alongside a 5pm ritual where a different album is played in full.
Beyond the music, expect seasonal cocktails, wines and beers, alongside a European- and Japanese-inspired food menu and weekend brunch. The space will also feature design-led furnishings, with interiors that include pieces by Tom Dixon.
Spiritland at the Barbican opens on 20 October and will remain until the end of July 2027.
